This collage is about the topics I address in my essay, such as: tokenism, racism, commercialization and capitilization of pride.

I got asked if I wanted to talk to the minister of education. As a joke my former HR Pride collegue said that I can be the token person of color. Not even realizing that that's inappropriate.

Drag Queens:
Nowadays many people forget about our queer elders who fought for ours rights. Pride is more than a party. Pride started out as a protest when Marsha P Johnson threw the first brick at Stonewall. I think it's good to celebrate and be free, but I think it's also very important to remember how Pride came to existence.

After the presentations the class wrote down some keywords that describe their essay topics. Based on the keywords, we made groups. I wrote down: racism, identity and diversity

The eye looking at the money: pride is all about money.

The word 'spel': Spel means a game or in this sense 'a play'. People in this country know how to fake it, pretend to accept people who don't fit the dominant normative and deny that they're racist.

Many people in class had overlapping interests. I joined Karlijn and Cheyenne, because their topics were similar to mine.
